Fish oil?

Just curious ladies ? Wanted to to know your opinion on taking fish oil tablets? Do you think they help with babies brain development and mom to be?

Dha pills are fish oil. They help develope baby. I just eat fish a few times a week instead of taking pills. Some of them give you nasty fish burps lol

I took Vitafol prenatals prescribed by the Dr.  It was only one capsule and the Omega-3 DHA was made from Red Algea, and it had zero fishy aftertaste because it was algea.

My doc recommended me to get the dha not from fish oil but from other sources like algae.  The reason being some fish is high in lead and mercury and the vitamin industry is not highly regulated.  I get the Spectrum prenatal dha from Amazon.

Fish oil contains some DHA, but not always quite enough. I take krill oil, I believe it has 95 mg? 400 or so is recommended especially in 2nd and 3rd trimester. I take 2 additional DHA pills along with the krill.

While trying to conceive and while pregnant I have taken a prenatal vitamin, folic acid 800 mcg, vit D3 400 iu, and 1200 mg fish oil. Baby boy is totally healthy and combination is OB approved

I'm taking fish oil in oil form. I don't get burps. I'm taking 4,000-6,000 mg a day to help decrease inflammation and to hopefully prevent a miscarriage. The doctor  recommended that amount.
