should I wake my 3 day old baby to eat?

I've been feeding him every 3 hours and he usually wakes himself when he's ready to eat. It's been 3 hours and he's still in a deep sleep.. should I wake him? He's been getting 1-2 ml at every feeding. At his last feeding he got a little more than 2 ml. Is it possible that he's just still full?

One thing I've learned is never wake a sleeping baby!! If he's on a schedule where he wakes up when he's hungry, then that won't change. Since he is sleeping longer, he may eat more than usual when he does wake up...  It's one tiny step towards sleeping through the night on a fuller belly. Good luck momma!!

Unless he's a tiny baby that is trying to weight goals or something, you can just let him sleep and feed him whenever he wakes. He'll wake up when he's ready to eat. For now, enjoy the peace and quiet! Lol

I never woke my girl at night. If she was sleeping I'd let her sleep. She always wakes up if she's hungry

Golden rule- NEVER WAKE A SLEEPING BABY! Lol  now that being said, my son scared me by sleeping for 12 straight hours the day after he was born, he had no interest in the boob just sleep. We woke him updater 12 hours, but after 3-4 id let the baby sleep personally

Congrats! You finally had him 😅. Newborns do have a longer stretch of sleep (4-6) hrs every day so I wouldn't wake him unless say he goes beyond 6 hrs or does that more than once a day. Most will wake up when they are hungry and would let you know loud and clear. Some prefer their sleep and may start losing weight or get dehydrated and in that case you need to feed them.
My son used to wake up by himself but he was also a heavy sleeper. When it was close to his feed time and I wanted to sleep or something, I used to pick him up and tickle his neck while putting the boob near his mouth. He used to latch and nurse while he was sleeping 😂. He'd never wake up if we tried to even when he got older but he always woke up when he was hungry.

My daughter was the same. The first few days she slept and slept and the midwife couldn't believe she wasn't hungry, she forced me to wake her, and I believed she just needed her sleep after being tired from the birth. And all was fine. All this stupidness to set an alarm and wake her up was just wrong. Some say never wake a sleeping baby, some say they won't wake up when they are hungry. I don't know 🤔 but everything was just fine.
