Sister staying over has a cold, should I uninvite her?

I was planning on having my sister stay over from out of town for a few nights but she just told me she has a cold. She wants to know if she should still visit or not as we don't want me catching it and affecting the baby. What do you guys think? I'm 18 weeks pregnant.

I wouldn't think it would be that big of a deal. You can catch a cold at the grocery store.

A cold won't hurt the baby. That's not how the body works. Just keep a bottle of hand sanitizer around

It really depends on you. You know your body better than anyone. My first pregnancy I caught every little cold that I came in contact with! This pregnancy not so much. If she has a fever or thinks it's getting worse than maybe reschedule the visit but if it's a common, mild cold you should be fine. Just wash your hands frequently.

Uh no i would still have her over..... i work in a hospital.... germs everywhere.... i cant expect everyone around me to stop everything just for me.... a cold wouldnt do anything to a baby in the belly :) just sucks for us cause we cant take meds but no biggy

I personally wouldn't uninvite her, that'd just be rude. It's just a cold. You can catch that anywhere.

Yeah I personally wouldn't want anyone that's sick to be near me, much less staying with me. I had a cold for a week during this pregnancy and trust me it is 100% worse than when your not. I wouldn't risk it.

Just be careful. Worst that can happen is you catch the cold, it won't affect the baby though

I work in the ER and I'm around sick ppl everyday at work and I haven't got sick yet
