Can you get pregnant while on your period?

I'm curious because me and my boyfriend planned to get it on later for the new year, and my cycle has been irregular. I wasn't expecting to start today, but I did. You are most likely to get pregnant during ovulation. So is it possible to actually get pregnant while menstruating??

You can only get pregnant when you're ovulating. However, unless you can be 100% sure of the exact moment when you will ovulate (which is impossible), you can always get pregnant. So I would always recommend contraception regardless of the point in your cycle you have sex.

You can get pregnant any day of the week but it is less likely. The odds are not too great though as even precum can get you pregnant. I would recommend using a form of BC
