Boys born in summer and girls in winter?

So I had a friend tell me that girls are mostly always born in the winters and boys in the summer. Something to do with conception and ions. I heard that it's easier to conceive boys in the fall because they're hardier and girls are more delicate so they're conceived in the spring. Do you think there's any truth to it? Was it right for you? For myself personally it's incorrect...I have a son in July and daughter in August. Some people truly believe this though!!

No it's not true at all. When your partner contributes an X or Y chromosome it really doesn't matter the season outside lol and my girl was born this July!

Believing something is true doesn't make it true though.

I have a boy and a girl. Both were born in July. Their birthdays are only 10 days apart.

My husband, and both of his brothers were born in December and January. My mom and sister and I were all born in April and May. The ions do literally nothing in changing your chance at conception. Source: basic developmental biology.

No, I have 3 boys. One born in the fall and the other 2 in winter. Anyone can be born anytime of year.

Well my dad, brother and fiancΓ© were all born in the winter and I was born in the fall. So I'm guessing this is just and old wives tale like the cabbage and pencil test.

This makes absolutely no sense. It also assumes the rest of the world has seasons. What about the global south? In many countries with consistent tropical climates there is only one seasons and it's everlasting summer.
