39 + weeks

Well it was Christmas day and I had been having bad back pain all day! I couldn't get comfortable, then Christmas dinner came with my grandparents, brother and his wife and daughter there I started having contractions 3 minutes apart.. they lasted an hour, then they dropped down to 2 minutes apart, needless to say we hurried everyone out of the house and we headed for the hospital, I labored for 14 almost 15 hours, with no relief.. no pain medication was helping, and I had been at 1 cm all night long. Finally the on call doctor came in to see me and asked me how I rated my pain, I told him "10" and while he was in there I had two contractions, 2 minutes apart. He asked me "well Allison, what would you like to see happen?" I told him sternly "I want him out!"

He broke my water and within 40 minutes I was 4 cm and 90% effaced.. for a total I labored for 22 hours.
