Newborn, 10 poops and pees a day?!

Question

Does this mean that he's getting enough to eat? I'm, EBF and worry a lot about if he's getting enough to eat because he eats for shorter periods of time than other babies I read about but is still having healthy diapers. Just wanna make sure I'm doing OK! He's a little over 2 weeks old and eats about 10 minutes every 2 hours. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like your doing great!!  Babies that age should have at least 6 wet diapers but more is perfectly fine as well. Mine went after every nursing session.

My LO has always been a fast nurser as well. Even as A newborn she rarely nursed more than 10 minutes and only one side per session. My lactation consultant said this was fine. She gained weight well. If you are worried about weight gain ask your pediatrician about stopping by for a weight check. Mine offers them for free and it put my mind at ease.

If he's having that many diapers I'd say he's fine. My newborn only took a short time to eat but it was because her latch was so good and my supply was good so she was just more efficient at getting the milk out

My son only feeds for 5-10 mins on one side until this very day (he's 4 months old). He's gaining the weight he needs and his dr has no concerns.
