Does your partner hide their phone?

Question

I have noticed that every time I touch my fiancés phone he freaks out and snatches it from me. Now, for example when I say "touch his phone" i mean just when I pick it up to move it out of the way if it is on the bed etc. However in saying that, his phone is usually always in his pocket.

His reaction each time I "touch" his phone makes me feel really uncomfortable like he has something to hide. Yesterday I tried to express my feelings about this to him, but he got defensive & thinks that I want to look through his phone to find something or that I'm trying to annoy him. (I don't know why he seems to think that)

I trust my partner and don't believe he would ever do wrong by me, but I don't understand why he reacts so weird or why it is such a big deal when it comes to his phone. I leave my phone around the house and don't have a problem with him "touching" it at all

I get that everyone needs to have some sort of privacy, but this feels really strange to me.

Is anyone else experiencing something similar to this? Could I have your thoughts and advice please ☹️

I have never gone through my husbands phone ever. But in saying that I would probably demand that he show me his phone if he was being super sketchy with it like that. We both have locks on our phones because of little people but we know our codes and his prints are on my phone to unlock it. If my husband was acting that way with his phone it would make me question if he was hiding something or lying to me.

My ex never put his phone down anywhere ever - pretty sure he'd have rather swallowed it than left it out for me to see. Turns out he was hiding a double life of lies.

People with nothing to hide don't hide anything.

Yes i experienced similar and he was hiding a dating app from me and talking to other females. We had problems already and he got defensive. We are both past it.

That's honestly a huuuuge red flag. That's the number one thing you look out for. If you can't even move his phone without him snatching it, I'd be very suspicious.

My ex was the same way, he never let me touch his phone or go through it when I ask. Come to find out he later confessed to me that he has been cheating and the girl is pregnant. I am going through this right now and I don't know how to deal with it. So I believe that's a red flag because what's there to hide?? Should be able to "touch" the phone without any reactions unless he got something to hide. Be careful, good luck!

I'm going through the exact same thing with my husband we have always had a trusting relationship so I never felt the need to look through his phone but lately I've been wanting to he's always on it always has it with him he deletes all his messages. I just keep getting a gut feeling

The only time my husband was ever weird with his phone was when he was planning a surprise party for my 30th birthday. It didn't feel good at the time for him to be so weird, but it was cute when I found out why. Otherwise we can look at each others phones whenever we want. I don't often ask or care to, but I know it's no big deal.
