to all my ladies trying to lose weight

𝑔𝒶
- Stop dieting. It doesn't work. I can promise you that.
- diet pills are awful. They will ruin your metabolism
- fit tea is bullshit
- waist trainers are TERRIBLE for your body
- anything endorsed by a celebrity is probably bullshit too
- there is no easy or fast way of doing this. It takes time to do it right and be healthy
- DO NOT RESTRICT YOUR CALORIES. As long as you are eating the right foods, decreasing your calories below a certain point is HORRIBLE for your health. You are literally destroying your metabolism which will make it more difficult for you to lose weight.
- don't rely on bmi calculators or anything else you can look up online. Go to a dietitian (not a doctor, they're not trained in nutrition) and ask for their advice on how much you should be eating and what to eat
- you have to make this a lifestyle change. Cutting out carbs for a month isn't going to do anything. Because guess what, as soon as you eat carbs after your diet, you will gain the weight right back and then some. Make lifelong changes to be healthy forever, not just to fit into a swimsuit.
- if it sounds too good to be true, it is
- you can't out exercise a bad diet. It's impossible. Look up how much you would have to run to burn off an m&m, it's not worth it. Good diet + regular exercise=results. There's no way out of it
- find ways to exercise that you enjoy! If you hate it, you won't be motivated
- buy some cute outfits to workout in! If you look hot, you'll feel hot and want to keep going to be even more hot! Believe me this helps. If you don't feel confident, the gym will the the last place you want to go
- don't do cheat meals. Instead, give in to your cravings (don't take this very seriously) . If you want a cookie, eat half of the cookie. This way, you won't be waiting all week driving yourself nuts and end up eating a whole box of cookies.
- learn what your cravings mean. Look it up. Certain cravings mean you are deficient in something. There is always a way to get rid of a craving without sabotaging what you are trying to accomplish. (That being said, you can still have a half of the cookie. Everything in moderation)
- everything in moderation is taken too literally. Stop making excuses and do it!
I BELIEVE IN ALL OF YOU. Do it the right way and you WILL see results. Be patient and love yourselves. You're all beautiful inside and out.
Happy New Year ❤❤
( currently studying to become a personal trainer and dietician) I'm not a doctor nor am I certified so go talk to someone who is!
