It's been a hard battle with my SIL (soon to be). Me and her brother got engaged a week ago and she just got engaged yesterday morning. When we got engaged her dad called me 5 times back to back almost in tears to express his love for me and how happy he is for us. I posted our engagement on Facebook and he shared it within mins with a long paragraph explaining his joy and how he would love for me to be apart of his family. Now his actual daughter is engaged and it took him 11 hours to share it and he wrote a quick message that said "2017 is off to a great start... my daughter is engaged". And she's always shown some resentment towards me like I was stealing her family. And now I know why she feels like that. I know it was just a Facebook post but the difference was just telling. I would be so upset if my dad barely said anything about my engagement publicly but did for another girl. Idk just venting I guess. I understand now why she doesn't like me.
