Alternative Medicine

I'm suffering from a pain issue and in the midst of all the medical exams, I am considering going for an alternative treatment. Partially to help with the pain itself and partially for support through this draining, frustrating, and intrusive process. Have you done anything like this? And advice or experiences that you're willing to share? This is totally new to me, anything is helpful. Thank you!
