Diffence between breakthrough bleeding on the pill and implantation bleeding?

Does anyone know if breakthrough bleeding on the pill should be red and implantion be pink or brown? I really need help. Please tell me your stories. Thanks!

Okay so breakthrough bleeding (BB) and implantation bleeding (IB) are pretty similar. This is super annoying as it’s hard to tell which is which but there are a few differences that’ll help you somewhat workout which one you’re experiencing. IB usually happens a few days/the day of your period as that is when the egg is implanting itself. This means in some cases women get very light bleeding and heavier discharge along with Mild to no cramping. This can range from a light pink to a brown colour and lasts on average between a few minutes to 2 days. On the other hand BB can happen any time of the month and is usually accompanied by a longer blood flow/spotting (2 days +) and again can vary in colour but is more commonly red or brown/rusty. If you know you’re cycle well you can gauge when you’re period is due/you last ovulated and work it out from there. If you’re still in doubt take a
Pregnancy test. As IB usually happens around the time of your period you can take a pregnancy test pretty soon. If it’s negative and you’re still not sure wait 3/4 days and try again just to be sure. If still nothing you’re good to go. I’d keep a track of your symptoms/ovulation/bleeding schedule. I’m experiencing brown bleeding right now which is making me anxious but I took a preg test this morning and it was a big fat negative so that put my mind at ease. Hope that helps!
