How much staff during delivery?

When you delivered was there a lot of people in the room? Not family but staff? I had my first at a children's hospital and there seemed to be a ton of people but I wonder if there were two teams...like one for me and one for my son.
As far as I know I had no risks. Unless something changed during labor and no one told me.

This is a great question to bring up during your hospital tour. And you should definitely be vocal about your wishes during labor if you'd prefer to have it quiet with less people and commotion going on as part of your birth plan.

if it's a teaching hospital you'll have a lot of people in the room as they're students either learning about childbirth and/or newborns

I work in labor and delivery and if it's a normal uncomplicated delivery, the doctor, labor nurse and baby nurse.

For me it was just my Dr, one nurse and my husband.  After she was born another nurse came in and got stuff for them.

Yes it was that's only because my babies decided to poop inside me!!!

I only had one nurse and my doctor.  Once baby was born, three nurses came in for her.

It probably depends. I have a heart condition so the entire cardiac team was in the room with me in addition to two L&D nurses, my doctor, plus my husband and my mom.

For me it was just the dr and I think 2 or 3 nurses? Depending on how high risk/ low risk each is probably different!
