So recently I started talking to this guy it was just casual conversation nothing more than that. And I have a boyfriend in his mind he considers me just talking to another dude cheating. Yeah the guys was cute but I didn't act on those feelings BC it was just casual conversation. Is it cheating to talk/text another dude while in a relationship even if It wasn't anything but a conversation.

I don't think it's cheating but I think it's opening a door. I don't feel the need to text other guys just for casual conversation but that's just me. My husband is really the only guy friend that I need or want.

Your boyfriend should trust you enough to let you talk to other guys. There's nothing wrong with having friends of opposite sex. It's just a conversation nothing more.

If your boyfriend doesn't want you to even have friends of the opposite sex, run. It gets to point where its too controlling. A simple causal conversation doesn't mean anything, and you are allowed to have friendships with men.

Unless you explicitly stated that you intended on doing something romantic or sexual with this person, it is not cheating, and your partner has no right and solid proof to assume so. And you still have the right to be talking to this person.

It's not cheating, but if he vocalizes that he doesn't like it, you shouldn't do it. And if you continue to after he asks you not to, it's not cheating but it's not being loyal

To me, it's cheating but who cares what I think? The thing is, every relationship is different. Parners set boundaries. If your boyfriend was clear about what he considers cheating, and you didn't argue,  what you did was wrong. If you disagreed about his view on cheating, you should have told him. You didn't do it basically means you were okay and accepted his opinion and limits. So I'd say it's cheating.

What? No. as long as it's casual and you don't catch feelings. If you two start developing feelings for each other, I would classify that as the beginning of an affair- an emotional affair if you will. Just be careful :)
