So I've had the nexplanon implant for about a month or so, and I highly recommend it. It's the most effective form of BC (besides abstinence) and the insertion and healing process is almost painless, just a bit uncomfortable. Now I've had a light period for almost three weeks now but that's normal after getting the implant, and I'd say it's worth it since you don't get your period after a couple months of the insertion and if you do it's only spotting, but I've been reacting fine. A little moody and hormonal but the doctor said that after a couple months all of my pms symptoms should regulate, and mine lasts for three years. Also the scar isn't even noticeable and there was minimal bruising Bc I kept the compression bandage on longer than directed
