Did you eat/drink during labor?

I was induced and they wouldn't give me anything but soup broth or ice in case of a c section.

You can eat up until they put the epidural. I ate a subway sub before asking for it. I was hungry with the epidural but only allowed ice, jello, popsicles, and clear liquids. Towards the end I was so tired and out of energy I ate a popsicle and allowed a few minutes of rest before I could push again. After I gave birth, I had to wait a few hours in L&D while the nurses checked often if my uterus was contracting and was cleared to transfer to my own suite on another floor for recovering. In the recovery suite I had to wait an hour before I was approved  to send my husband to go get food or he would have faced my hunger wrath. So about 4-6 hours after birth I was able to eat. Time flies though when you are holding your baby.

I took sips of water, I had intense back labour so I wasn't interested in anything else.
