I don't think so. I had an ultrasound at 5w6d and 7w2d and I seen a heartbeat both times. My doctor would not let me hear it until 12 weeks. I asked her if she would at my 7 week one and she told me she could have but she wouldn't because it 'takes the fun' out of the 12w appointment.
