I'm 15 and have been having unprotected sex for months with my boyfriend. He says he always pulls out, and I've been getting my period, but I still worry. I know I'm too young to be having sexual relations, but it's just hard not to. So, I've asked my mom about birth control, but she avoids the topic. I'll convince her, but what's the most effective birth control?

There isn't really an age when you're old enough for sex. It's really must a maturity thing. You should be able to go to a clinic or school nurse and get free birth control, and they won't tell your parents if you don't want them too. If you can't for some reason, some clinics or school nurses will give you free condoms if you ask.

While the pull-out method is effective, it's only effective if it's every single time and nothing gets in. That's really difficult to do. It's easy to get caught up in the moment. It's better to use a condom and birth control if possible. The more contraception, the better. Stay safe!
