reduced movements??

Question

How likely is it that the baby is moving fine but your just not feeling them?? My little boy is due in 6 days. I've been on the monitor before and they tell me he's fine he's moving ect but I'm just not feeling them :/

Sometimes when you're that far along the baby starts to run out of room to move. If you're worried I'd call your doctor but it can be totally normal.

My friend just had this happen to her and they said the baby is running out of space so you feel less and also for her her placenta was anterior so it's in front instead of in back which causes her to feel less as well. She called her doctor and then they told her to go into L&D and that's what they ended up telling her

Could be totally normal but definitely listen to your gut. My doctor doesn't mess around with decreased movement. He was very clear that if I haven't felt her in 6-8 hours then I should eat something sugary and sit still and check for 10 movements in one hour. Although I've heard some variations to this, I do think you should be confirming movement daily. If not, and you're worried, go in to l & d. Always better safe than sorry. At least that's my two cents!

I had the SAME EXACT thing happen with my daughter and it totally freaked me out. Same thing when they hooked me up to the monitor, they said she was just fine. I swear she was resting before the big day because she started moving like crazy again about 2 days before I went into labor.

Same thing happened to me on Sunday. I went to labor and delivery anyway and sat on the monitor for 20 minutes and he was fine. They just said that he will not have as defined movements now. But I was still worried.

Your baby is probably engaged. Decreased movements are normal.
