Soooo... reality just hit. My oldest is almost 10... and my god daughter is a few months older... and she started her period. I've not had this discussion about bodily change with my daughter yet... what is the best way to have this discussion without scathing her and being sure she knows what to do when it happens?  I started mine right after I turned 13 and all my mom did was throw a pad at me and tell me change it often to avoid tampons because they'd make me sick. So I don't really know how to approach this very well. Any tips, advice... anything would be a HUGE help!
