period confusion.

What should count as your period? I have 2 apps that I use and 1 says that I'm suppose to get my period on the 10th and this app says I will get it tomorrow. My last period was dec. 9th. So confuse. Anyone have any advice or tip??? Trying to figure out when I should take a preg test 😞
