Find an RE specialists in your area that is familiar with PCOS.

Also, know there is no cure all way to conceive when it comes to PCOS. Every woman's symptoms and conditions are slightly different.

I did multiple blood panels to see where my hormones were (high or low), a pelvic exam to check my tubes for blockage, and ultrasounds to check for cysts.

I was prescribed metformin to help regulate my cycles (occurring only every 3 to 6 months before), and while this DID work, I still was not ovulating.

Hubby also had a physical exam and a sperm evaluation. They were mobile, but slightly slower than we would like.

Tried clomid, but this didn't work for me personally (I have several friends that didn't need more than either metformin or clomid to conceive), so I ended up at an IVF Center after two years with my RE.

Did 3 monitored cycles with follistim, metformin, clomid, and a trigger shot. This means only times - so we are told approx when to have sex for best chance of conceiving. These three cycles I DID ovulate, but we did not conceive sadly.

So we took a month off and tried our first round of IUI. Same meds, but this time I went in for the IUI procedure where they cleaned my hubbys sperm to promote the least amount of resistance, and did the work for us in regards to getting the sorry to the egg.

I was lucky enough to conceive via our first IUI. I am now 32 weeks after a high risk first trimester (think for my Clinic this is automatic?? And they worried about my hormones not being enough to keep the pregnancy.). I had to take progesterone supplements until 10 weeks starting after my IUI.
