Bartholin Cyst?

Question

So I think I have a Bartholin Cyst on the outside of my labia. It doesn't hurt but it a hard lump that I sometimes am able to get stuff out of. Whenever I "drain" it, it gets smaller. Has anyone else ever had one of these? Im 16 and really don't want to have to go to the doctor. Is there a way to get rid of it at home? Does anyone know what it's caused from?

I used to get those quite a bit. I wouldn't recommend popping them like a pimple since that can open the wound to infection and irritate the skin. Try taking hot baths or warm compresses to draw out the fluid. Usually they drain on their own with that. Some cases you do need to see a doctor if they won't go away. I would just keep that area clean with a little bit of soap and water, sometimes you just get them and it doesn't mean it's bad, just a nuisance at the most.
