What up what birth control is most effective

I just had a baby a month ago so I'm not trying to get pregnant right now. me and my significant other want to start trying again in about 6 months to a year, what birth control should I use if I want to try again in 6 months to a year?  what birth control can I get pregnant right away if I stop using it?
 also what birth control can I take now and have sex immediately

We plan on using condoms since we want to start trying in about a year. I had to try so many different pills last time that by the time I find one that works for me it will be time to go off of them. My dr was very strict about using them correctly and no pull out method. I guess you can't risk pregnancy after a csection until you hit a year.

Iud is a good option, it can last 5-10 yrs but since it's not a hormonal pill you can start trying as soon as it comes out and are protected when it goes in

My LO is two weeks old and my husband and I are planning on getting pregnant again or trying in about a year. I talked with my midwife a little before the baby arrived about BC options. For us we're just going to use condoms. I'm breastfeeding so I really don't want to go on the pill. Some women say it's lowers their supply. But most women have no problem getting pregnant when they go off of it.
