I have heard it doesn't matter. The sperm enter the cervix within seconds and they all have the same chance of getting to the egg site. That's why it's unnecessary to put a pillow under your hips after. Any sperm that fall out after sex with the rest of the "semen mixture" (sorry tmi) are weak, low quality sperm and are very few compared to the millions that make it in and the around 300 that make it to the egg. After all you only need one.😊

Also I read that position is more likely for you to conceive a boy bcus boy sperm swim faster, and male on top is more likely for you to conceive a girl bcus those swim slower and stick around longer apparently so if you're on your back that helps. I'm not sure how common that is but it makes sense.

I read in a TTC book one time ((I'm sorry I can't remember which one bcus I've read many)) that "doggystyle" is the best because the angle helps open your cervix and helps the sperm slide in much more quickly.
