Colour of vaginal discharge

Ever since I was young my vagina discharge has always slightly varied in colour. Sometimes clear, sometimes white, sometimes it has a yellowish/beige tinge (but it looks white if I put it on my finger). I've had people tell my conflicting things. I've had swabs done to make sure I don't have an infection and the swabs have always come back normal. Is this normal for your vaginal discharge?
