posting online - unhealthy relationship?

Question

So I'm in my first serious relationship, with a guy who has been in two serious relationship before me. 
I like to 'lowkey' post things online. Like photos of us online, not very personal things but like photos from a night out, or something like that. 
I remember him telling me that he didn't want many photos up, so I've tried to keep it to its minimum. 
However he's just asked me to stop, and I don't get why. He tells me people 'say' a sign of an unhealthy relationship is having signs of it on social media. 
I was wondering what your views were on it? 
Do you think this is true? 
I don't post anything like "I love you so much" or comment anything 'soppy'. 
I don't know how to feel about it all, I'm over thinking it a lot.

He probably just doesn't want people in his business or in his relationship. Maybe he's had some bad experiences with it in his last relationships. Just have a little talk with him to understand why. I personally don't like it either but a few pics here or there is no biggie

I don't think it matters what "people say". You can never post at all & still have an unhealthy relationship. Everyone is different. Personally I'll post a picture of us here and there but i don't post any actual info about our relationship like if we're going through things. I think pictures are fine, just do you. But I would talk to him to see why he doesn't like it & maybe yall can come to a compromise.

Ok yes too many sappy stupid romantic posts on social media isn't healthy. But just a picture of you two together? What's unhealthy about that? Sounds like your boyfriend doesn't want other people seeing that you two are together. What an ass. He should be proud to show you off

I think the older you are you don't feel the need to post about your personal life. Unless you have kids or are blogger etc. Or what other people's opinions. Or you just don't want to deal with people being nosy. Or the constant back and forth of in a relationship or it's complicated etc. Maybe he's a private person. My guy isn't big on public displays of affection. He just doesn't think it's appropriate. Not out of shame or embarrassment. Now he's the cuddler and Innitiates everything. Everyone is different. I keep everything off Facebook etc. Been with my guy 4 years still says I'm single. I don't post omg I hate you so much etc. I have nothing to prove or brag. Don't need to make anyone jealous. I don't need anyone's approval. Or validation with number of likes. The people that know me know I'm with him. People I have not talked to in a while are all omg I didn't even know you were together or damn you guys are still together. My business is my business. If we get in a fight or break up or take a break etc his go to move is videos on Facebook. Bonjovi: if you don't love me lie to me. Elvis: you are always on my mind. Andy grammer: I choose you. Etc. But I rarely post on Facebook. Just have it for friends and family since they are far away. I have had instagram for years and I think I have less than 10 pictures on it lol. My phone has pictures of my guy etc but those are for me. I dated this guy for 3 months if he wasn't good at physical stuff it wouldn't have lasted a minute. After the first date he asked me if I was gonna change my status online to in a relationship. My answer was I wasn't planning on it but ok and I did. BEcause he wanted me to. This is the only place I talk about things.

I don't really understand why you can't post pictures together but if that's his preference I suppose your I have to respect that.

I never post relationship stuff on Facebook. My husband is linked as such on my profile, and there's a few pictures there, thats it. Don't feel the need to go beyond that.

I think a picture as your profile picture is okay or a relationship status when you have been together a few months but for the most part, my relationship is not on Facebook. We don't post picture of each other or comment on each other's walls.
