Ok so recently graduated college and moved back home with my mom until I could find a job.. Since moving home I have gotten a retail job as the stores assistant manager, but I recently went on an interview for a job that I would be using my degree in and I got the call yesterday and got the job!! The new job is about an hour away from home so I would be looking into moving closer soon. Obviously I went to tell my mom first because we are super close and she was nothing but negative.. she said things like " I don't think that's a good idea" and " good luck on getting your boyfriend to move with you and being on your own". She thinks I will get my hopes up of this job, new place to live, etc.. and that I'm in way over my head.. idk how to take it because my grandmother is also on my moms side. I went from living alone in my own apartment at college so I'm perfectly capable of being independent.. i pay my own bills, etc. Any tips on how to handle this with my mom?
