What are some absolute must-haves and things we can skip?

Tell me what baby items worked for you and which ones are pointless/baby grows out of them too quickly to be worth it. Trying to start my registry!

Everyone always talks about stuff for baby, but mom stuff is needed to. Although probably not on your registry...

Bath robe... My son is 2 months and I still wear mine every day. Especially while pumping since it keeps warm while being top less 😁

A large water bottle or cases of water. Breastfeeding makes me incredibly thirsty. I drink probably 10 large bottles of water every 24 hours.

Good lotion (this might just be me, but hormones have made my skin incredibly dry)

Amazon prime. Because you won't always be able to get out to buy toilet paper or a razer...plus lots a of movies and TV shows on there :)

Sports bras and or nursing bras... a size larger than whatever you wearing pregnant. For instance I was a 36 C before being pregnant, 34 D during pregnancy, now I wear XL nursing and sports bras.

A target red card. If you're anything like us, there WILL BE some things you don't know you need till after baby is born. Hubs made many trips to target for miscellaneous stuff.

Rock n play 🙌🏻 used it everyday until he was around 8 months. Pack n play became more of a big toy box so it's been moved to storage.

Skip blankets , toys, clothes... You'll be given all that stuff, anyway, as addons. Register for maybe a box of NB and a box of size one since u have no idea what your baby will actually fit into. Car seat, maybe an extra base if you have a second car, stroller , baby bath tub, make sure to put a bunch of $10 and items on your registry (bottle brushes, wipes, socks, bathing essentials, a hooded towel or two, wash cloths), carrier, a boppy or other nursing pillow, accessories for your pump if you have one

Lots of burp cloggs are helpful:  we love the pack n play.  We use a bortle warmer.  The boppy pillow and lounger are a must.

Also a carseat.

My LO is two weeks old. He's supper congested right now. I actually had my sister run out and get the nose Freda for him today. I swore I wouldn't use one but they do work the best!

Any nursery furniture and room decor
Halo sleep swaddles 
Pack n play, bassinet , of co sleeper
Baby towels & wash rags
Soaps, lotions , wipes . ( I love our wipe warmer)
Bottles and any feeding gear

Depending what sleeping arrangements you have planned a pack n play is great, used one with all my kids. They have sheets for them too for easy clean up.  We have a 2 story house so we kept crib up stairs and had pack n play downstairs. Life saver!

I always put size 1-3 diapers on registry. (Amazon mom great place for you to order from as well) wipes too, can never have enough.

Avent bottles are great. Bottle brush and drying rack are must haves. If formula feeding a formula organizer for premeasured formula makes life 10x easier.

Butt paste is the best! Little goes a long way.

Skip pacifier,  many babes don't like them hospital gives one so it'll be a chance to find if lo likes it or not.

Many ppl do skip registry but it's useful to register everywhere because you get bonus coupons and some companies give gift cards for registering.

With # 1 I bought a cot and a Moses basket and a pushchair. Can I point out after spending like nearly £2000 it was fekin pointless. JUST GET 1!!!!  He only slept in the Moses basket until he grew out of it and then into the cot. Now he's nearly 2 in a bed.  This time I'm just getting a Moses basket until #2 grows out of it then transferring into a cot. Honestly it was so pointless buying all 3 when they did the same thing. Not going overboard this time lol

Get the Miracle Blanket swaddle in case you end up with a super strong Houdini baby like I did! Only way he will sleep at night! Also, a Solly Baby wrap, DockATot, and exercise ball for bouncing during colicky crying have all been lifesavers for us. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
