"Pop your cherry" refers to breaking your hymen the first time you have sex, but the way most people think of the hymen is totally incorrect. The analogy I've heard is most people picture the hymen like a paper banner that football players run through and break open, but it's actually more like a balloon arch. There is a hole in your hymen already, it does not need to be "popped" and sex does not have to hurt the first time. If it does, you most likely just need more lubricant! Your hymen can tear though, which would cause pain and possibly spotting/slight bleeding, but it can also tear from doing other things like the splits!

It's slang for when a woman's hymen breaks. It's sort of a flap of skin in the vagina. It can be broken through sex, exercise, using a tampon, or anything else that can cause it to break.
