How long were you TTC and what other treatments did you do before going to IVF?

We tried for 8 months on our own. I went to the doc then because I was skipping entire cycles. We then found out that DH had low count as well and went to an RE who did additional tests on my husband to determine the cause of his low count. He was put on months of shots to get his numbers up. While he was doing that we did 2 times cycles with the RE and then when his numbers got up to 40mil they let us do an IUI. After that failed we decided we were wasting our time and money (no insurance coverage for treatments) and finally got pregnant with IVF after 16 months of total trying (the first IVF cycle was successful and I was 29 at the time). We tried for two years so far. We did five cycles of Clomid with a few breaks. I'm hoping we can get the green light soon.

We were TTC for about 16 months before we started going through testing. Found out about 18 months in that my husband had no sperm. Surgery for him and IVF were our only option, so we went straight to that. Good luck to you!

(Nearly 7 years)Came off pill Feb 2011, been under 2 different hospitals, got told I ave PCOS & endometriosis, tried provera & clomid, had hycosy done & key hole surgery to check tubes etc. Now been given clomid again till march to try, if that doesn't work hospital said next step IVF. So fingers crossed tablets work.

We have been ttc #1 for 2 years.  I have pcos. Have had 1 ectopic and 3 early mc. Have taken clomid for 4 cycles and got pregnant with ectopic.  Then moved to fertility specialist was put on letrazole for 3 cycles then letrazole plus gonal f shots for 3 cycles. Was about to start ivf but got pregnant naturally but unfortunately another early mc.  So we are taking a break and will start ivf in April.

Been ttc #2 for 2.6 years under a gynaecologist now for over a year, bloods are fine, I'm ovulating. Had a hsg done in April last year which showed a blocked left tube and now waiting for surgery to unblock it. If that fails doctors said only option is ivf
