Guys! I think my body hates me. I've been ttc for a year and still no baby! Why?!

Let me give you a little background...

I am 22 but began taking the pill at 14. I took like 5 different ones because a few of them made me sick. Fast forward to 21 and I got a nexplanon implant in my arm because I began missing pills. That was in me for about 3 months then I had it removed, about 6 months later I began ttc (Jan 2016).

I'm worried I've killed my chances of becoming a parent because my mom was trying to keep me from getting pregnant as a teen and I was on birth control for so long. I've talked to my doctor and she says the birth control shouldn't have affected my fertility but there still isn't much known about Nexplanon. (That was not comforting.) Did I screw this up?
