Baby won't take bottle?! Help!

Okay ladies I'm on need of advice desperately! I go back to work on the 23rd of this month and have been ebf my almost 9 week old baby boy. He nurses like a champ! But since I've started introducing a bottle every morning (fed to him by his dad while I pump) he has begun refusing it more and more! Today he flat out refused. I last nursed him at 5 am. He woke at 9 searching for the boob. From then until 10 30 my husband tried getting him to take the bottle with zero success. With it going on 6 hours since he had eaten I attempted myself to get him to take the bottle. With the bottle dripping I think between my husband and I we forced an Oz into him. That was with him not latching at all. My hubby is thinking about trying to pick up to a full time position at work but it's a job he's not fond of at all (we work in the same place since there really aren't many jobs that pay well here in the middle of nowhere mn) I think I have high lipase because all the milk I thaw smells like soap. But baby won't even take a bottle I freshly pumped minutes before :( !! Am I better off just giving up, staying home and getting assistance for food if my hubby picks up hours or are there any tricks I can try?? Please any advice at all will be very apreciated I feal like I'm failing my baby once again... we were doing so good once I finally got him to breastfeed after 2 weeks... I just feel like a horrible mother

Also try having him give the bottle while you're not there. They can hear and even smell you. And try not to have him wait until he's starving and upset. You may have to try a few different bottles. I had my husband start trying to give her a bottle at 3 weeks old. We tried twice a week. She finally took it at 5 weeks and drank about 4 oz.

If possible be with baby forget work and cut on expenses...baby's 1sr year goes by sooo fast...well obviously if you can do it go for it. My hubby and i talked about this during pregnancy and he chose a full time job he doesn't like so that baby could b 100% with me. Do what feels right for u though

We use the avent glass bottles and she does just fine. We introduced a bottle of breastmilk early because I was having issues with latch so idk if that made a difference for us or not.

My baby will only take a bottle when I'm not in the room. Also seems to do better when it's offered as soon as he wakes up and is a little disoriented haha. Also only Munchkin Latch bottles have worked consistently for us (I breastfeed exclusively) though I know every baby is different!

I'm in a similar situation but have another month before going back to work. We've tried bottles since 4 weeks and now at 8 weeks she still doesn't want to latch or drink from bottle. She's done well a few times during the day when she was calm, so I know she can do it. But usually she refuses to latch, chokes and cries. We've tried Avent naturals and Dr Browns. I just ordered a couple comotomos to try. Have to get this worked out before going back to work. Am wishing I could stay home with her, but it's not in the cards.

Try different nipples! I was expressing since hospital so I never really went throught what you're going but my baby will flat out refuse some nipples but will eat non stop from the others.

Babies know your smell and will want you to feed them. You will have to leave the room and attempt to let your husband try. Some babies just won't take the bottle and will marathon nurse when you get home from work or if they take the bottle, they may not take many during the day because they want you to feed them. It shows how bonded your baby is to you!

Anyway, the Tommee Tippee works great for us!

Doesn't matter what kind of bottle or nipple, we've tried for almost 5 weeks now and she will scream for 10 minutes, drink it really fast, and then choke and spit up. It's miserable.
