I am expecting my first child in April. I have zeroed in onto two names so far and would love your opinions on them. The names are Indian btw. Thanks.

Haaris Brar : pronounced Haa-ris
Mehtab Brar: pronounced Meh-taa-b

I think the second one sounds lovely and dignified.

I don't know where you live, but the first name I think a lot of white people would mispronounce as HAIR-riss, because it looks similar to the name Harris (which is kind of a creepy uncle name, in my opinion). So depending where you live and if you care about it being misunderstood, you might consider that.
