Reason for recent IUD/implant insertion

I've noticed a lot of posts on here recently about IUD/implant insertions and I'm wondering, for those of you who have had an IUD or implant inserted in the past few months, was your decision influenced or inspired by the recent election of Trump & the republican majority? Tbh that was the reason I got mine, it might be kind of paranoid but idc. Knowing that soon some of the people who will be in power don't look kindly on birth control and will have the ability to take that away from me if they want, it scared me enough that I wanted to get a long term contraceptive.
