Online baby shower?

Has anyone had a baby shower online? We live 1500 miles from any family because we're in the military. We have a daughter but are expecting a son and need a lot of new clothes. My mom wants to do a virtual baby shower lol! Has anyone heard of this? Anyone have a baby shower while living far from home?

We did a virtual wedding shower for my cousin and just streamed her on a big tv at my parents', and the rest of it was just like a normal shower!  I think some gifts were went to her, which she opened and showed us, and then some people brought gifts that we opened and showed her, then I'm sure her mom shipped them to her. This was ages ago when things like that were more difficult to figure out, so everyone thought it was quite technologically impressive 😂😂😂...I imagine it would be much easier now!

We're doing one! Our registry is on Amazon, I sent everyone invites to Skype that day and watch me open any gifts they send, I plan to call everyone and post a bunch of ultrasound pics etc. :)

What a fun idea! We had a shower in a box due to being really far away. Everyone mailed a book with a gift card. I think the way you are planning it sounds like such a good idea tho!
