Have you stayed or in a relationship because of your child(ren) ?

With my first I stayed much longer then I should've. I stayed because the thought of not being with my child everyday was unimaginable. However, I made the choice to leave once he hit her because I never want her to think a man can treat you like that. It was scary and difficult. When I left I had no money, no shelter- family was 2 hours away, and no job. I was a sahm. It was a long road to getting to a place where I didn't have to worry about money. But I did it. My daughter is now 7, I live in a house with my husband of almost 2 years, and I have a full time job. No matter how tough it gets, you can be a survivor.

But we have stayed together in the sense of cohabitation and coparenting until our son is older and we can afford to live apart. It's not ideal but we're trying to make it work.
