1st time

So me and my bf are really ready to have sex now. We've waited two years and promised eachother we wouldn't have sex till we were both at least 16 and we are now. Idk when it'll happen though. Should it be a thing that is planned out or just wait till it happens? I'm on the pill and he has condoms already so we're set. I just don't know if we should say like what day it's gonna happen or just let it happen on its own. :/
