If you're looking for books on specific topics I LOVED Rhe Happiest Baby on the Block. The doctor that wrote it has another one for toddlers too. But it's all about sleeping and soothing techniques. It looks at everything from mother a scientific/medical and a nurturing perspective. I found it really insightful.

The Baby Book by Dr. Sears and Happiest Baby on the Block by Dr. Karl. Those books saved us multiple times during the first year!!
