losing weight while pregnant?

Has anyone actually lost weight while being pregnant? My mother did but she doesn't know how. How did you do it? (Not pregnant just trying to prepare)

My mom has been over weight her whole life, she had 4 kids & lost weight with all of us. Never gained anything. The doctor said it was perfectly normal & fine.

I lost 8 pounds in my first trimester and into my second, and I struggled to gain it back, eventually I did and now I'm only 3 pounds more then what I was pre pregnancy. I don't know what's wrong with me, I eat all the time and I'm not gaining anything lol.

I lost 11 pounds in the first trimester due to morning sickness. I've gained it back now plus 6 pounds. I'm 37 weeks.

Knew a girl that got gestational diabetes. She followed the diabetes diet/meal plan and lost a good bit of weight.  Granted after the baby was born she had put the weight and some back on.

I lost 10 pounds this pregnancy mainly because I started eating healthy and switched to only drinking water

I did, but not on purpose. First trimester, my ex spent all our grocery money on drugs. Went a month w/ one small meal a day. Yeah, I left him.

After that, it was hard to put weight on for some reason. By the beginning third trimester my OB told me if I didn't start gaining weight, she'd hospitalize me to ensure I did. I took that as my cue to get an extra large milkshake, daily.
