latex condoms?

can you not be allergic to latex in general but your vagina is allergic to latex? Is that possible?  Like I wear latex gloves all the time for work with no reaction, but when I have sex with my boyfriend using a latex condom, my vagina gets so dry and the skin is peeling off and it gets red.

I have a very mild allergy to latex so I generally don't notice it. But there's a big difference between say touching a latex balloon with my hand for a second, and rubbing a very sensitive area consistently for a somewhat prolonged period of time. Also, most things that used to be made out of latex generally have more commonly used latex equivalents now due to allergies so it's pretty easy to avoid latex for the most part. So the short answer is, yeah, it's possible to have a latex allergy but only notice it with latex condoms.

It's also possible that you're reacting to a lubricant or spermicide used on the condom.

Your lady parts are a different more sensitive kind of skin. Could be the lube or spermicide. I use lifestyles skyns they are latex free. Don't do lambskin everything goes through them. Maybe you have to do trial and error. Stay away from flavored lubes or anything that heats up. Just basic water based lube.
