Peeing after sex?

I'm a virgin but I've seen on here a lot that you need to pee after sex to prevent a UTI. Is that just with unprotected sex or just sex in general? Do I need to try to make myself pee even if my boyfriend wears a condom?

(I might be losing my virginity soon, and have no one to talk to about this stuff personally so thank you in advance)

Doesn't matter about protection. Pee BEFORE and AFTER sex to prevent UTI. This has nothing to do with sex it self. It's so bacteria doesnt get into your urethra. UTI stands for urinary tract infection. And from experience they suck so bad!

Peeing after sex is just so you can make sure that no bacteria gets in the wrong place. That's what my mom always said anyway. I didn't really think too much of it. Just try to pee after sex lol 💕
