Sac and no baby?? help.

Question

Today I went in for my first visit.  Per my last cycle I should be 7 weeks.  
I've had off and on spotting for about a week or so.  
Today they did a vag ultrasound and saw the sac but no baby.  They measured it at 5 weeks so she (dr) said I could just be earlier than expected but the spotting concerns her.  So ordered hcg test and I go back Thur. I will get results Friday.  So that is a LONG time to wait and wonder.  Has any other moms had similar experience and had healthy babies.  
Any advice would be great

I am in the exact same boat.  My doctor is preparing for the worst, however we are hopeful.  Labs are going to be on Thursday and results on Friday.

Best of luck. With my first I had a scan at 6 weeks (not normal in UK but I'd had a heavy bleed). That saw sac but no baby and I measured 4 weeks. They weren't that shocked- they said it varies a lot in the early stages- hence why the NHS generally do the first scan at 12 weeks as it's usually evened out by then and it's more accurate. I went back two weeks later- baby measured 8 weeks 2 days and we saw a heartbeat. He's now 16 months old. I hope it all works out for you.

I am in the same exact boat! I am suppose to be 6 weeks today and went in for my 6 weeks scan this morning because of spotting. We saw a yolk sac but no baby. I've been really worried ever since. I go back in next Friday but it seems sooo far away! I hope all goes well for you!

With my second I had a period for the first two months didn't even know I was pg. Take it easy don't stress and I will keep you and your little one in my prayers. Keep me posted

I had bleeding 3 days before my normal period day and only had bleeding for 2 days and it went away then came to find out about a month later I was pregnant. Stay positive and I will keep you in my prayers. Miracles happen every day.

You could have ovulated later and as for spotting some people bleed threw there pregnancy good luck

Update
  So I called to check my hcg levels and they went from  2000 to 3000 so they went up but didn't double.  So still no real answers.  Still having spotting and cramps. But also having pregnancy symptoms. So unsure.

But you could have ovulated later in your cycle which would make it be off

I went in 5 weeks 3 days and they saw sac and yolk sac. No hb and no baby. Went back at 7 weeks 2 days and this. Hb 147
