I love animals so much but after my cat died I really wasn't up for getting a new one. Well my boyfriend kept saying he wanted one and complaining because I purchased my furniture when I moved in and really didn't want it torn up by kittens. Well he found kittens from a lady at work that needed homes so now we have 2 and I cuddle with them and play with them and care about them but I can't stop being so overly annoyed they're destroying my house. They are climbing up the curtains, tearing up the carpet in corners, my area rugs, shower curtains etc. it is beyond aggravating and partially because cats have personalities you know and I miss my kitty 😔 I don't feel AS attached to these cats but I'm trying and I'm always on the floor playing with them. I tried the claw caps (they suck they come off so frequently I'm always chasing them around to get them back on and another one comes off), sprays, etc. I don't want to declaw them and I've mentioned rehoming them but he won't budge. My cat was 17 when he died so he was old enough to know not to tear things up and I know it's part of the deal with kittens but how many things am I going to have to replace before they stop? I know I sound terrible but I don't have endless money to replace things and couch and loveseat are covered in claw marks. Even with the covers I got 😭 I tried guys. I'm actually pretty upset because I was so excited about this set; I wanted it forever and with 2 kids I can't replace furniture so easily. Total bummer. Any suggestions? (And yes I've told him about it a bunch of times and he doesn't care about the furniture 🙄 he said he'll replace it when they get better. Which means when he cares enough to.)
