How to prepare for induction maybe c-section?

Question

So I am due today, and I just seen my OB, he said my cervix is very soft but still very closed and "unfavourable". Dr is booking my in for an induction, but said in his experience it might even turn into a C-section. I am so scared and upset. I really feel like my body has let me down. Its made to to this and it can't.

I am happy for the induction but really dreading if it turns into a cesarean. How do I mentally prepare for this?

I was induced at 38weeks and was stuck at  4cm for more than 12hrs so I had to get a c-section. Don't think or believe that u body is failing u love, whatever way u delivery u n ur LO will be safe n sound.

I completely understand!! I'm 39+3 and my LO hasn't dropped so the doc is saying c section is most likely at this stage. If bubs drops I'll be induced but she's worried it may not fit in my pelvis (was weighing in at 8lb 9oz yesterday). I made the mistake of researching all the pros and cons of induction and c sections while writing my birth plan so I completely understand the feeling of failure. I want so badly to have this baby naturally and without any intervention or drugs and I think that because I was so confident this pregnancy would continue to be by the book, the idea that my body isn't doing what it needs to. I'd prefer to try induction before a c section but my partner has decided that he'd rather we go in knowing it's a c section than it turning into an emergency one. I know it's hard but try to relax as much as possible. Our babies will hopefully just come when they are ready:) good luck to you!!!

I'm on the same boat. My body's not showing signs of labor at all! I don't think I have had any
Contractions what so ever! The doctor also told me the longer I wait to get induced the more likely the baby
Will be stressed which can lead to c section. So makes it hard to choose a time to induce when I want to wait for my body to do its thing naturally but the fear of c sections right around the other choice too 😑
