anyone had success with IUI?

I've been trying to conceive since august last month seems to me I'm off or it's something I'm not doing. For two cycles I've been using preseed. But it was brought to my attention that maybe me and my husband should try IUI. So I'm curious if anyone has had any success with this procedure. And I heard it's much cheaper than IVF

I'm currently 25 weeks pregnant with an IUI baby :) We had tried for about 2 years on our own with no issues. I was then on Clomid for 3 cycles with no luck but then our first round of Clomid + 2-day IUI worked!

It was not covered by insurance at all and we had to pay $1000 up front, but the procedure (ultrasound and 2 inseminations) was only $350 so the rest of the money is paying for prenatal appointments. It has all been done through my normal OBGYN.

One thing to note though is that most doctors will ask that you try on your own for a year (or 6 mos if you're over 35) before going through any fertility treatments.
