Should I say something?

I have just gone back to work after a year off having had an a baby, my husband has dropped his hours and money has been a bit tight, so at xmas we told everyone we weren't doing gifts for everyone and only bought for the children - however my hubbys parents have been good with childcare so we had a little something made for them from a local company (wooden frame with all the grandkids in the family names etched in) - after xmas we visited and I was keen to know what they thought of the work but couldn't see the frame anywhere, I waited until we were leaving to ask my MIL how she liked the frame as she didn't mention it - she exchanged looks with FIL and laughed a little saying it was fine.... I was a little hurt as I had gone out of my way to have it made for her but regardless thought it might not have been to her taste ... roll forward to today it's both my in laws birthdays - we gave them vouchers for a meal at their favourite restaurant, cinema tickets, beers and the kids made clay handprint coasters - my MIL just text to ask if this was their birthday gifts.... they were wrapped... i replied yes and haven't heard anything back but have seen they put on facebook my SIL got them a flying lesson - I'm really hurt that for the second time there has been no thank you - money is tight and I begrudge spending money on people who can't even say thank you - should I say something or am I over reacting???
