Self induction

Kassie

On 1/4 38+4 weeks I had been trying to self induce for a week. Mostly from being miserable and knowing I usually go over 41 weeks. I had been drinking rrlt since 3rd trimester. I started drinking cinnamon stick tea 5 days of nothing not even 1 contraction. I was so annoyed. I started walking the stairs in my house, doing squats and drinking oregano tea. On 1/4 I woke up started doing my stairs and had a few contractions but they stopped. So I drank oregano tea and googled more on self inducing, by now it was just for fun of course baby won't come till she's ready. I decided to try the coffee potty trick. And again no contractions. So I read more and decided to try Castro oil. I figured the worst that would happen was it could clean me out. So 3:45 I put two tablespoons and mixed with Apple cider. By 6:45 I had nothing not even a toot. So I took1/2 tablespoon more. By 9 I started cramping( normal at night ). By 11 pm I was contracting but I honestly thought they were false. I went to bed and yes was contracting all night but thought they were false. At 545 am I got up peed came back to bed. At 6 I felt two pops. Weirdest feeling ever and my water had broke. I woke up my bf and said it had just broke and was going to take a shower. I definitely started contracting. He got into the shower after me. I was having contractions but I honestly thought I'd be in labor all day. We even did the dishes before we left. We got to the hospital and they were so full that we had to go into a recovery room. They swabbed me and nurse went to check me and was like we are having a baby. So at this point it had only been an he since my water broke. I was defiantly in pain she was trying to get an iv started so I could get pain meds but everything was going so fast I couldn't. My body started pushing it's own I had no Dr one of the obs had to rush in and she out with one push. My Dr walked in right when she came out. She was born an hr and 52 minutes after my water broke. It was the craziest experiences. I have had the easiest recovery and I say it's due to A natural birth.
