What is wrong with me???

Question

So I'm out again and a year and 7 months and I was thinking about the fact that I have brown and pink spotting for a few days before every period for as long as I've been off bc. But I only really took note until I was TTC and so I couldn't totally be sure when it started. Anyway my question is did anyone have this and know what it is and if it could be causing my issued with TTC?

Answer

I had 25-27 day cycles and always spotted for 3-5 days before getting my period. After 3 chemical pregnancies, I saw a fertility specialist who used 2 cycles worth of blood tests to diagnose me with a luteal phase defect. She said the spotting was from my progesterone dropping very low too early in the cycle and making it impossible for a fertilized egg to stay implanted for more than a few hours or days. She put me on progesterone supplements for the second 2 weeks of the cycle to try to help it.

I always spotted a few days before my period and it didnt effect anything.
