Diapers?

im a first time mom and im getting things ready for baby girl...but which brand of diapers is best? and how many boxes will baby need? Do i get different sizes or just newborn?

PAMPERS, with the wet strip indicator, are my absolute favorite! I will never buy a different brand of diapers.  I tried different brands the first year on my first born. It sucked, but you live and learn.

Huggies leaked. Luvs fell apart. Target brand gave my baby diaper rash.

One box of diapers a month worked great (subscribe and save on Amazon rocks). I never bought a box of newborns. I started with size one and went from there. I always purchase the largest box available. The price varies depending on the size. Just budget $50 a month on diapers and you'll be fine.

Pamper is suggested more but it's more of what you think is best for your child and don't get a lot of newborn,get other sizes more. Been told that they don't last that long in newborn and need more space for their #2 lol

My first, the hospital gave me a lot of newborn diapers to take with me (maybe they were just being nice). I'm not buying any this time... hoping I end up with a couple again - LOL

Pampers are the best. My daughter blows out with Huggies and never with pampers or luvs.

We are working thru the freebies we got as gifts and have tried pampers swaddlers, Luvs and huggies and I like the pampers best because of the color stripe so your not wasting diapers and hey seem to have he least # of blowouts.  Our LO was 6lb 7oz at birth and was in newborns until he was 4 weeks so I recommend if the doctors did a growth scan and gave you a size estimate under 8 to have newborns on hand.  We're using up the Luvs 1's now and he has a blowout almost everyday and wakes up soaked through his clothes most mornings...I don't recommend but if they're free then you can't complain.
